We are an Indiana Main Street organization dedicated to encouraging the spirit of community relationships by promoting partnerships and creating awareness of heritage and its historical value. We strive to serve the residents of Fortville and its greater area by strengthening, revitalizing, and broadening economic base while enhancing the quality of place and life for the community.

We are a Veterans organization focused on four pillars. Veterans’ affairs and rehabilitation, children & youth, Americanism, & national security. We raise money to support Veterans in need as well as support their families. Community outreach is also a focus to The American Legion, we host events such as visits with Santa Claus for children, easter basket handouts, flag education programs for 4th graders at local schools. For a complete list of programs sponsored by The American L.  Additionally, the Legion has free mobility devices (wheel chairs, crutches etc.) that be checked out for those in need.

The mission of FARM is to serve our community by providing food relief, and showing the love and grace of Christ to all who come into contact with this mission. We resource with the other organizations in our county to connect individuals to much needed services

Our food pantry is every Tuesday from 1:00-2:30pm for an indoor walk-through food pantry. We also offer an evening pantry every Thursday from 6:30-7:30pm. We open an hour before each pantry starts for refreshments, fellowship and a time of prayer. Prepackaged bags will be available for those who choose that option. 

Starting in September 2023, FARM offers Celebrate Recovery Tuesday evenings from 6:00-8:00pm.  Living in a broken world we all deal with life's hurts, hang-ups, and habits.  No one has the ability, nor should they attempt to face their hurts on their own.  Celebrate recovery is a biblically balanced approach to help bring sustainable recovery and healing to our hurts.  It guides us toward new healthy truths and life-giving habits as we repair our broken relationships.

Fortville Christian Church exists to encourage people to foster a life-changing, personal, daily relationship with Jesus. We help people to learn to walk with Jesus every day by offering Bible teaching opportunities, small group opportunities that help build community among believers, and service opportunities that show care for people within the Fortville community.

Our Be The Gift Outreach Team serves our community leaders, partners and our local school districts.  We help our neighbors by fulfilling needs that are not currently serviced by other ministries or agencies.  We also offer a Christmas event called A Night of Amazing Grace. There will be a walk through nativity scene, hot chocolate and cookies and A live band playing Christmas music. 

The mission of FCN is to serve God by loving, guiding, and discipling others to Jesus Christ. We believe that we are saved to serve – serving Jesus and others. Our goal is to reach out to our community, pointing them to Jesus and helping them when we can. Some of the ways we do that are through hosting Brianna’s Hope Support Group and host Noah’s Ark Pre-School.  We have a H2O Ministry through Love INC which provides needed hygiene items. We partner with Fortville Christians Unite to help with Community Food Boxes.

The Fortville Lions Club is a service organization formed to "change lives through service" in our community. We provide assistance to residents of all ages in need in the Vernon Township area of Hancock County, Indiana.  We serve in the following projects: Vernon Food Pantry, Mt. Vernon 3rd grade Dictionary Project, File of Life for seniors, Eyeglass & hearing aid recycling, vision screening.

Chamber of Commerce is for the Northern area of Hancock County including the towns of Fortville and McCordsville. We connect community organizations together whether a business, not-for-profit or an individual.  All are welcome to join and participate in the benefits our Chamber has to offer.

The Fortville Vernon Township Public Library envisions being a community place, improving the community’s lives through programs, services and collections that engage, educate, and entertain the residents of Vernon Township. Our mission is to provide free access to information and experiences in a safe, welcoming space for our residents.

Gateway's mission statement is to be a place to be, grow and serve in the heart of Fortville. The pantry provides food and essential items to those individuals and families who are experiencing food insecurities and/or lack of necessary items. This is a cupboard style pantry where one may come in and choose nonperishable grocery items.  Open on Tuesdays from 1:00 to 3:00pm and also the 3rd Saturday of each month from 9:00 to 11:00am.

Gateway Kindergarten and Preschool mission is empowering young minds through faith, education, and service. We provide a warm, caring, Christian environment in which a child can experiment, explore, create, and develop skills at his or her own pace and according to his or her own abilities. We provide developmentally appropriate activities in order for our students to meet their social, emotional, academic, spiritual, and physical needs. We offer a variety of classes for kids starting at age 2.
